So, Iran just broke the U.N. seals that have been on their enriched uranium plant. They were flat-out told by the U.N. to not start it back up, since the enriched uranium could be used in making nuclear weapons, and they were distinctly told just a few days ago when they made motions to restart, to once again desist, and now they're up and running.
So, the question is, should Iran be able to restart its nuclear program? They're an unstable and violent theocracy of sorts, and have been known to harbor terrorists and have caused us and many of the middle eastern nations trouble in the past; but then again, do we have the right to tell somebody that they don't have the right to ante up and match the weapons of the opposition? I mean, nuclear weapons are a hugely diplomatic weapon, among other things, and why do the western nations who have nuclear arms have the right to tell Iran to back down and surrender this great power in a region where you NEED great power? Is this right or wrong? And keep in mind that this isn't just America, if anyone, it's the French leading it, but still.
And on an unrelated sidenote, I think that the word "jaded" is the most commonly used uncommon word in music today. From Aerosmith to Green Day to Warren Barfield, it's there. I feel like I should actually learn what it means now or something.

However, in the spirit of discussion posts, it is time to discuss. Actually, that "get me a gun" comment might not be far off. They're looking at a draft that will avoid the Vietnam fiasco of being a poor man's conflict, and calling up everyone, men, women, college or vocation, everyone, and if we are threatened with nuclear weapons, expect that draft. At least that's what Bobby Muller, an influencial figure in D.C., said when he came to talk to my school about the draft. If we were attacked, would you sign up or wait?
